Different cultures will come together during a school event to mark Black History Week and Dacorum Family Learning Month.
Guests will get to see a range of performances representing different cultures, including African gumboot dance, Irish dancing and Indian stick dancing, during the Multicutural Evening at Hemel Hempstead School.

The free event, on Thursday, October 9 from 5.45pm to 9.30pm, has been organised by the school in partnership with Dacorum Voluntary Service.

Caribbean and Indian food will be on sale and there will be a series of workshops and displays. For more information call Jackie Ramnarine on 01442 390100.

The school is holding a range of workshops throughout next week (October 6-10) to celebrate Black History Week.

Students will get the chance to try their hand at Chinese paper art, African drumming, Rangoli art and Chinese calligraphy.
