Ex-servicemen planning a reunion are hoping to trace an old comrade with links to Hemel Hempstead.
John Rudd, who lives in Liverpool, contacted The Gazette to help trace former soldier John Bruin, known as Biff.

Mr Rudd said: "Biff joined the army in 1965 into the junior leaders regiment Army Catering Corps and later transferred to the E&F squad.

"We lost contact with him in 1966 as we were all posted to different regiments.

"We are having a reunion in Loughborough on Friday, October 17 and would dearly like to get back in touch with him to invite him to join us.

"We know that he lived in Hemel Hempstead during his service so hopefully he still has family or friends that know his whereabouts."

Mr Bruin is thought to be aged 61. He can get in touch with Mr Rudd via the newsdesk on 01442 262311.
