Excitable baby sealion Dom celebrated his first birthday at Whipsnade Zoo by preparing for this month's special late night opening.
The cute pup will perform two twilight shows with mum Salt and dad Berkley when the Dunstable wildlife park opens late for Zoo Nights.

Dom, who turned one on June 12, will be showing off his skills jumping out of the pool to splash his audience and lifting his flippers.

Zoo Nights is a special evening of entertainment when the zoo stays open as the sun sets over the Chiltern hills.

The sealion family will not be the only late night attraction, with a steel band, elephant demonstration and fire dancers among the entertainment.

Zoo Nights at Whipsnade Zoo takes place for one night only this Friday, July 4, from 6.30pm to 10pm.
