Underview won the Harlequin Shopping Centre Battle of the Bands, in a competition, which was dominated by bands from Hemel Hempstead.
Three bands from the town, Underview, MediaHype and Royal Flush beat their Watford rivals on their own turf when the audience voted them the top bands in the competition, on Thursday, September 4.

The final two bands, MediaHype and Underview were decided by a panel of four judges, from Mercury Radio, and the winner was decided on a text vote from the audience.

Over 600 votes were received in the allocated time of five minutes with the winner, Underview, taking the prize of two hours rehearsal time and one day recording at Sanctuary Studios.

They also received £300 worth of music equipment from Hooters, in Watford, and a booking playing at a showcase event at the Horns Watford on Tuesday, September 23.

To help with their promotions they were given a DVD of the performance plus media coverage and an interview on Mercury Radio.

Underview will now play a set in front of thousands of people at the turning on of the Christmas lights at the Harlequin on Thursday, November 6.
